Fall Color on a Maple tree in Boise, Idaho

Boise, Idaho

It has been a great stay in Boise, Idaho with family. We will be going about 500 miles south to our friends, Joel and Patty’s house near Topaz Lake in Nevada. Yesterday we passed the seven-month mark being out of California. After that, we cross Death Valley — just because we have never been there. I’m hoping that Death Valley isn’t too hot at the end of October.

After our delay to get the welds fixed, first in Eugene followed by a delay to get our appointment at the shop in Bend, I have been worried about running out of summer. Fall colors have been with us for the last month. The maple tree changing color in the picture is stunning. I can’t remember seeing such red trees before.
