Campsite Review: Gowen Field is a military-only RV park located on Gowen Field Air National Guard Base on the south side of the Boise Idaho Airport. It is a very small nice place with a noise problem.
Gowen Field RV Park is a very small seven-site very nice secluded RV park. Since it is right next to the Boise Airport and the Gowen Field ramp space with light industrial aircraft industry activity it can be noisy. Since it is small, getting an RV site for any length of time at Gowen Field is difficult.
We liked camping at Gowen Field but won’t return because of the noise.

Observations
Campsite Review: Gowen Field RV Park insider info:
Inexpensive, get reservations early for your stay. The time in the past where no one knew of this RV park is long gone. Rumor has it that the park may get expanded to the east. Another rumor is that when the park is full that dry camping may be allowed in the empty parking lot to the east of the RV park. Things like this change often so ask. You have to call for reservations anyway.
Bonus
Gowen Field RV Park is all about location. Boise, the mountains and desert is a short drive away. On the base, entertainment is rare but inexpensive.
