Campsite Review: Oasis Las Vegas "Campground"

Campsite Review: Oasis Las Vegas Campground

Campsite Review: Oasis Las Vegas Campground is located in south Las Vegas at the corner of Interstate 15 and just south of Blue Diamond Road. From Blue Diamond Road turn south on Parvin street which turns into West Windmill Lane.

Do not attempt to gain entrance from the south or east of the Resort, use Parvin Street from the north. Parvin Street is one of those roads that starts and then stops in a field only to pick up again in a different location.

Oasis Las Vegas is one of the very first, and perhaps the only RV Resort (deserving the name RV Resort) we have ever stayed in. It is huge and has more than 660 full hookup RV spots. We stopped at the resort on our first big RV trip to the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse.

Observations

Campsite Review: Oasis Las Vegas Campground insider info:

This place is huge and busy. The pool area was very nice, the best pool area we have found in all our travels. They even have an adult-only pool, with a hot tub/spa and a separate family pool.

Road Noise — yes, all day and night. Train noise — no.

Ample room — Yes, in August most of the park is nearly empty. I bet that this is not the case in January.

In August this place is hot when we arrived the temperature was about 110. It cooled to about 100 overnight. We went to the pool well after sunset, it was still hot. Las Vegas in August is also dry. It was nearly dry enough to dry our swimming suits on the walk back to the RV.

Our air conditioners did not shut off for the entire time we were there.

Bonus

Las Vegas is the bonus. Location, location, location. We have considered staying there again, but the prices are high and we have less pricy, less noisy options.
