Observations
Campsite Review: Buffalo Park Campground insider info:
All RV sites in Buffalo Park Campground are pretty good. They are all in the trees with good shade. Summer temperatures are hot. In late July, we ran at least one of our air conditioners all day and well into the night.
Site #12 is a pull-through.
The best site in the entire campground is #17 which is secluded from the other sites on a long driveway. The site has two electric pedestals. However, the sight is excessivly sloped tail low. The second best site is #19.
Both sites #18 and #19 have concrete parking and patios. Of the two, site #18 has slightly better access to the lake. Site #6 in the non-electric (tent) camping section is large enough for any RV and is right next to the water.
All sites and driveways fit RVs and cars nicely. Most of the sites have additional parking for additional vehicles and boat trailers.
All parking areas are on gravel with pine straw next to the site, all sites had a picnic table.
Bonus
John H. Kerr Reservoir is the reason to be here. For the most part, the campground is quiet and so is the reservoir except on weekends.
