2018 Route Salt Lake to Boise

2018 Route Salt Lake Utah to Boise Idaho

This selection documents our 2018 Route from Salt Lake City and Boise Idaho and the stops along the way. We departed Salt Lake City (actually Hyrum Lake) on May 6, 2018 traveling north to Curlew Campground in the Curlew National Grasslands near Stone Idaho which is just north of the Idaho / Utah border.

We spent one night in Curlew and then to went to Heyburn/Burley for two nights staying at Heyburn Riverside RV Park owned and operated by the city of Heyburn. While we were there went to City of Rocks National Preserve.

From Heyburn/Burley we went to Glenns Ferry and stayed two more nights which gave us just enough time to appreciate Three Island Crossing Idaho State Park the Snake River George.

From Glenns Ferry it was an easy drive to Boise where we stayed for week right next to the airport at Gowen Field Air National Guard base.

Our primary must see location on the way was City of Rocks National Preserve, Shoshone Falls and Three Island Crossing in Idaho.

As we got further west the weather became nicer and ideal for camping.
