Campsite Review Fiddlers Cove

Campsite Review: Fiddlers Cove

Campsite Review: Fiddlers Cove is a military-only campground located on the Silver Strand south of Coronado Island east of California Highway 75. It is one of the nicest RV parks we have ever stayed at.

Fiddlers Cove is easily the nicest military RV Park we have ever been to. Fiddlers Cove is also probably the very best RV park we have ever stayed at. It has 56 RV all within a few steps to the bay or easy walking distance to Silver Strand State Beach. About one-third of the sites are pull-through.

Now that I said it may be the nicest RV park we have ever stayed in, I still don’t like RV Parks. They are just not my thing. I far prefer State Parks and other locations. Fiddlers Cove met our needs in terms of location and full hookups. It is our favorite place to stay in Coronado.

From Interstate 5 in San Diego, cross the San Diego/Coronado Bay Bridge westbound until the first stoplight (Orange Avenue) and turn left to stay on California Highway 75. This will go through downtown Coronado and then south to Fiddlers Cove. It is located on the east side of the Silver Strand about two miles south of the city.

The reception area is next to the marina office after going through the gate at the marina. After entering the gate, the only way out for a large RV is to make a lap around the park. Parking is very limited at the marina.

This military campground accepts reservations one year in advance for active-duty personnel and six months in advance for other authorized patrons.
